After being woken up by a dream and heard a sound that he hadn't heard in a long time, Bob Reynolds suspected that the Void had returned, although wondered if what he remembered really happened or was only in a comic book. In a Silver Age comic book, a boy named Robby Reynolds discovered a professor's secret formula, drank it, and gained powers, allowing him to punch his bully Buzz. That evening, he fashioned a golden suit and after leaping into the air, immune to the effects of the elements around him, the Sentry learned from his Sentry Sensors that the Blue Buffoon had attacked Empire State University. Then, Sentry saved the Avengers from the Void when they were struggling to defeat him, although the Void vowed to return.
