Thor tries to free himself from his bonds, but cannot; The Soul Survivors tell him the origin of themselves and of the Doomsday Star; That they are the ones that intercepted Odin; They then take Thor's group to see him; They are using Odin as a battery and they have almost drained him dry; Back in Asgard, the second Thor leads Balder and Karnilla into Asgard, then assaults them; Thor is speaking to a very weak Odin, when Odin apparently dies; In his rage, Thor begins to tear through all the Techno-trackers with ease, as Hogun, Volstagg, and Recorder arrive; With nothing else to do, K'rll places himself in the Spirit Mold and gives form to the remaining Odinpower still in the batteries, creating a beast made of pure Odinforce.

K'rll begins attacking the Asgardians through the Odin beast. He knocks them all down, and all that's left is Volstagg; When the Odin beast moves towards him, a blast of pure force shoots from his hands, hurting the beast; Fighting Volstagg's new power, the beast uses itself up and dissipates, which causes feedback through the Soul Survivors systems, destroying them; Thor then has Volstagg apply his powers to try and revive Odin, to no avail; Then K'rll runs in screaming about how the Asgardians have destroyed everything and he will kill them all; Thor grabs him and is about to begin pounding on him, when Mjolnir suddenly flies into his hand; He then realizes that Odin is alive.

An image of Loki reveals that he stole the Destroyer from Galactus' ship; The Destroyer then begins attacking Thor, and crash through walls and floors, then the Warriors Three arrive to help Thor; Thor sends them back out to find the sleeping Odin, and they come across Kroda, Magrat, and Snaykar, and they follow them silently; Karnilla and Sif arrive to help Thor, but Karnilla discovers that she cannot continue her mystical attack, because it is Balder that is inside the Destroyer.

Thor, Sersi, and Karkas are sneaking into the Deviant City, but are detected and attacked; Sersi flees and Karkas is assaulted by some Deviant device that knocks him out; Kro then reveals himself and demands Thor surrender his hammer or he will kill Karkas, and Thor has no choice; In Asgard, Mimir is showing Odin Thor's defeat, and Sif and the Warriors Three want to fly to his aid; Odin tells them no and sends them on missions for Asgard; Back on Earth, Brother Tode is about to put all the prisoners in the Atom Displacer, and is talking to Thor, when "he" suddenly changes into Sersi, and reveals that Thor's hammer is really a cane; Then Blake comes from behind a curtain, knocks Kro over, and is transformed into Thor when the cane hits the ground; Thor and Sersi free Karkas and the rest and they begin to attack the Deviants. Thor flies Hercules to Avengers Mansion, where he has Iron Man try to probe his mind to find out what happened to him, but Hercules comes to and lashes out smashing everything around him until Krista calms him down; Back in Asgard, Hildegarde forces her way into Odin's chambers, only to find it empty; She searches until she finds the Vizier, who tells her that Odin has vanished, and no one knows where he is; Thor had Hercules make their way back to the tunnels where he was attacked; Hercules opens up a piece of the tunnel, letting in the light, and causing the demons to flee.

Trapped in Loki's body, Thor has been banished to Hades and made prisoner of Mephisto, sending Sif and the Warriors Three to his rescue; They attempt to save Thor, however Mephisto's magical powers and legions of demonic creatures prove too much for them; Taking advantage of the fact that he has access to Loki's magical might, Thor focuses this power to free himself from the block of ice that Mephisto had frozen him into; Thor then challenges Mephisto, who boasts that Loki is on Earth ruining his good name; Thor battles Loki, hoping that his half-brother can be separated from the mystic hammer in his hands; When the opportunity presents itself, Thor charges at Loki and lets him pummel him; As Thor had hoped, when the 60 second time limit that Thor's body can be separated from his hammer had come to pass, Loki's body reverts back into the form of Donald Blake which then causes the body-switch to reverse itself restoring Thor back to his own body.
