A downtrodden web-slinger returns to his apartment after losing his temper with J. Jonah Jameson last issue. However Peter Parker's fortunes change the next day when he sells several photographs to the Daily Bugle's stand-in chief (Joe Robertson); and gives the troublesome clay tablet to Captain Stacy. Meanwhile, Quicksilver is back in New York and looking for a way to redeem himself. The mutant speedster decides that bringing Spider-Man to justice would be the best way.
