However during the attack, Captain Marvel is finally able to relay a message back to Avengers Mansion! And shortly thereafter five avengers plus Firelord blast off into space and then through subspace to reach the galaxy next door. Fortunately, the Avengers quickly locate Captain Marvel, and meet the crescent city avenger's new allies: the Skrulls! Hold on…teaming up with the Skrulls, is that allowed in the Avengers' playbook?! But adversity makes strange bedfellows, and the Skrulls and the Avengers join forces to challenge Nebula! Cameo appearances by She-Hulk and Wyatt Wingfoot. Flashback cameo by Galactus to recap the events of Fantastic Four 257.
