However a few days ago, SHIELD lost contact with its former director! So enter the star-spangled avenger! Under the cover of darkness, Cap parachutes into one of the breakaway Soviet republics hoping to accomplish his mission quickly and quietly! But unfortunately for Cap, speed and stealth go out the window once the Crimson Dynamo attacks! Is the Sentinel of Liberty in over his head on the opposite side of the world? Cameo appearances by Sharon Carter and Connie Ferrari. (Notes: During this timeframe, Cap leads the Thunderbolts into Latveria to face Doctor Doom in Thunderbolts #51 and #52.
