Story continues from Avengers 395. The Crossing is over. But the damage done has been catastrophic. Tony Stark (of Earth-616), one of the founding members of the Avengers, is dead. And the 19-year old Tony Stark (of Earth-96020) is in the hospital barely clinging to life in a comatose state. After Earth's Mightiest Heroes depart the medical center; Jarvis, Pepper Potts, and Happy Hogan take up the vigil at Tony's bedside.
