    The Fantastic Four journeys into the Negative Zone to investigate an anomaly (that Reed detected earlier) in a place called the Annihilation Area. But as the FF knows all too well, the Negative Zone is fraught with danger! And it usually comes in the form of two specific names: Annihilus and Blastaar. Right on cue the two heavy-hitters confront the fabulous foursome as they approach the anomaly! However surprisingly, Annihilus and Blastaar share the same concern about the Annihilation Area. After a truce is agreed upon, the six travelers move together toward the area's strange vortex, and they discover the ancient race knows as the Tyannans! And then they meet the leader of the Tyannans: Reed Richards from Counter-Earth (aka the Brute)! Wow, what a shock! No one has seen him in years since the climatic ending to Fantastic Four (1st series) 183. But he's here now! And the Brute wants to conquer the negative universe and the positive one! Godspeed to the FF! Re-telling of Annihilus' origin. Second feature: Two-page pin-up of the Fantastic Four vs. Blastaar by M.C. Wyman and Charles Barnett.
