Emplate has captured most of Generation X and Jubilee taunts him into feeding off of her as her powers have become unstable and Emplate ends up shooting off enough fireworks to free his captives; Bishop helps the kids drive off Emplate's allies but the villain himself sticks around to collect Penance; Instead of returning into his fold, however, Penance attacks Emplate and he leaves with his feelings hurt; The team realizes that Synch is no longer with them and is probably under Emplate's control.
