Hardcase arrives to the mountain that Death Dance and Meathook directed him to find Rex Mundi; While there, creatures made of the earth rise from the ground and attack Hardcase; They battle for a while and Hardcase contemplates what the Alternate told him before, that he has powers he has no idea about; Suddenly the creatures in contact with him become frozen; Defeating the creatures, Hardcase finds a way into the mountain and then underground, to the lair of Rex Mundi; Meanwhile, the original Choice arrives to find Hardcase; She is surprised to find another woman taking the Choice identity, which makes her angry; She believes that the Choice Corporation cloned her and they fight.
