As Bruce is being pursued by the police, he is picked up by Dr. Doom's limo and taken to the Latverian embassy; When Ross and his contingent of soldiers show up to ask Doom to relinquish his guest, he releases a Hulk robot instead; The army quickly destroys the robot, thinking they have done away with the real thing; Bruce bristles at the thought of having Doom as his savior so the villain gasses him and takes him back to Latveria; Doom uses his "subliminal inducer" on Banner, hoping to make both he and his monstrous alter-ego his willing servants.
