Written by legendary comic author Frank Miller, the series of neo-noir comics originally appeared in "Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special" in April, 1991, and continued in "Dark Horse Presents" #51–62 from May, 1991 to June, 1992, under the title of "Sin City," serialized in thirteen parts. Several other stories of variable lengths have since followed. 

All stories take place in Basin City, with frequent recurring characters and intertwining stories. This is the first storyline "Sin City" (aka "The Hard Goodbye") in hardcover format. Published in 1995 in a limited edition print run of 1,000, this is 450/1,000.
