Story continues from Amazing Spider-Man 406. The new Doctor Octopus attacks! And she quickly has Seward Trainer and the Scarlet Spider on the ropes! Why does Carolyn Trainer hate her father so much? Unfortunately, Ben doesn't have time to ponder that question as he and Seward frantically try to escape from the new Doc Ock's deadly clutches! When the battle spills outside to a nearby rooftop, the Amazing Spider-Man joins the fray! However this new octopus is tough! Six arms may be too much for two spider-men! In the meantime as Mary Jane's pregnancy progresses, Peter must make a critical decision about his web-slinging future. Story concludes in Spectacular Spider-Man 229. (Notes: The Spider-Man (1990) title was briefly replaced in November 1995 by the Scarlet Spider series.
