Plot continues from Force Works #17. On his way back to Los Angeles, Rhodey gets to test his new Eidolon Warwear suit against a steroid-fueled bodybuilder named Wolfgang! After making short work of Wolfgang, Jim reports in at Worldwatch. And about an hour later, Rhodey receives a visitor: the U.S. Agent! The agent tells Jim that Hawkeye has been arrested and detained for the recent murders at Avengers Mansion! Rhodey can't believe it! So he and the agent make a plan to free their friend from the Force Works headquarters in Ventura! But one person stands in their way: Cybermancer! Welcome to The Crossing War Machine! Story continues in Iron Man 322 and Force Works #18. Cameo appearances by Sheva Joseph, Dr. Erica Sondheim, and the Black Widow. Flashback cameos by Iron Man, Spider-Woman, and the Scarlet Witch.
