"Serpents of the World Unite! Story by Mark Gruenwald. Art by Paul Neary and Dennis Janke. The Serpent Squad has added five more members and upgraded to the Serpent Society. The society's leader, Sidewinder, decides to test his new team by dividing them into groups for three special missions. The first group (Anaconda, Cobra, Rattler) breaks into the Brand Corporation's Long Island factory to steal research equipment, but the star-spangled avenger is there to stop them! Also in this issue, Steve Rogers decides to pursue a career as a comic book artist. First appearance of Cap's future partner: Diamondback. Cameo appearances by Starfox and the Black Knight.
